Zags face athletic FSU team, and former NIC guard
LOS ANGELES — Mark Few says this Florida State Seminoles team is unlike any team he’s faced for years, due to their size, great athleticism and depth. John Calipari’s Memphis team with Derrick Rose is the comparison he drew.
Mark Few: “I don’t think we’ve played, I can’t remember, other than like Calipari’s unbelievable Memphis team with Derrick Rose and all those guys a physically imposing team as this. This is a group of athletes with size and athleticism across the board and depth that we just haven’t seen anything like this in years.”
Keith: “Not only do the Seminoles bring a lot of size to the table, they bring a lot of depth, they’ll play nine players against Gonzaga one of which former North Idaho College Cardinal Braian Angola who knows a little bit about Gonzaga basketball.”
Braian Angola: “Gonzaga’s a great, great team, well-coached team. It’s actually funny because my junior college was like 30 minutes away from there and I used to go there and play pick up with them all the time and go to the games. Nigel, last year he was my high school team mate, and I talk to him a lot but this is an unbelievable opportunity for us to make something happen for the university and for the school, and we’re just trying to do that.”
