Zags come out with fire to upend Fairleigh Dickinson, will face Baylor on Saturday
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Ten days after their loss to Saint Mary’s the Zags had all the motivation they needed to dominate Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round of the NCAA tournament, posting the largest deficit victory in Gonzaga program history, a 38-point separation.
For a team that ran through the West Coast Conference by beating opponents by an average of 27.5 points, it’s hard to put this win over FDU ahead of those games. They say not only did that Saint Mary’s lit a fire underneath them, but they got back to feeling like themselves tonight.
