You’re invited to ribbon cutting for WA’s biggest solar farm
LIND, Wash. — Washington’s largest solar farm marks a milestone this week and the community is invited to come celebrate.
Avista and Strata Solar will hold an official ribbon cutting Tuesday for the massive Lind solar farm. The governor is expected to attend. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. The site is located on Nielson Road, less than a half mile out of town, toward the cemetery.
KXLY got an exclusive tour of the site last month to give you the best view of the hundreds of acres of panels.
The more than 81,000 solar panels will provide power for some of Avista’s biggest customers who are part of the company’s Solar Select Program.
