SPOKANE CO., Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is looking for public input on safety improvements on I-90 near Four Lakes.

They plan to remove the basalt rocks and trees from the median, which they report to be a safety concern. With the intent to preserve the rocks, the area’s “visual value” and the general environment, they are seeking input from “all interested parties” on improvement options.

WSDOT says they have identified ten areas along the stretch of I-90 with “higher degrees of visual quality.”
