Women’s March on Idaho 2019
BOISE, Idaho — On Jan. 19, 2019, Idahoans are encouraged to join the Women’s March on Idaho, in solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington.
The Women’s March stands for human rights, dignity and justice, hoping to send a message to the world that women’s rights are human rights.
This year the march will kickoff with speeches from women in the community and begin at the Idaho State Capitol.
This march’s committee was created by People for Unity, a student lead group started in Idaho in 2016. They are an LLC devoted to encouraging youth and students to get involved and change the world.
People for Unity announced that the keynote speaker for this year’s march will be Jennifer Palmieri.
Palmieri is the author of the number 1 New York Times bestselling book, Dear Madam President and viewed as a accomplished political and communication strategist.
People for Unity wants to emphasize that they are working for something and not against it.
