Woman pleads guilty to manslaughter in investigation into death of ex-boyfriend
DEER PARK, Wash. — Gloria R. Redmann pled guilty to First Degree Manslaughter at a hearing held Tuesday.
Redmann’s plea was a result of an investigation into the death of her ex-boyfriend, 54-year-old Michael Ahlstrom.
Ahlstrom’s body was discovered on November 30, 2016, under a tarp in the carport area of Redmann’s residence located in the 200 block of East Meadowmere Way in Deer Park. Soon after, detectives developed probable cause to charge Redmann with Second Degree Murder.
Redmann remained in custody until late October of 2017, when she posted a $50,000 bond, set by the initial trial judge, to secure her release. The court proceedings were later assigned to be heard in front of a judge in Spokane County Superior Court.
At a sentencing hearing on Wednesday, Redmann was sentenced to 6.5 years with credit time served in accordance with the plea agreement.
