Woman hospitalized for smoke inhalation in Spokane Valley apartment fire

Spokane Valley fire respond to apartment complex fire

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A woman was hospitalized for smoke inhalation in a fire that sparked at a Spokane Valley apartment complex early Saturday morning. 

Spokane Valley firefighters responded to the apartment located on 227 South Adams shortly after 9 a.m. They knocked the fire down fairly quickly. 

Firefighters said started on the apartment’s balcony, but are still investigating the cause.  

There were two adults and two children in the unit at the time. One woman was sent to the hospital.
