Woman Dragged As Suspects Steal Car
An 89-year-old woman was dragged a short distance by her car when two people stole it Sunday afternoon in Wallace, Idaho.
The car jacking happened just before 3 p.m. in the 100 block of Front Street.
Witnesses report seeing the owner of the car, Ione Halkowiez, being dragged a few blocks while trying to stop the two suspects from taking her vehicle.
She eventually let go or became detached from the car and the suspects took off. Shoshone County Deputies searched the area and spotted Halkowiez?s car heading toward I-90. Deputies attempted to stop the car, but the driver of the car would not pull over.
The suspects led deputies on a chase that reached speeds of up to 78 miles per hour on westbound I-90. Eventually, the driver of the car turned around in a median and began driving eastbound.
After a 20 minute pursuit, the Kellogg Police Department and Idaho State Police joined and safely ended the chase.
The driver of the car, 28-year-old Bret Bosh and passenger 25-year-old Theresa Bosh were arrested and charged with Grand Theft, Felony Eluding, Burglary, Resisting and Obstructing and Bret Bosh was charged with DUI.
