Winds knock FedEx truck into ditch on U.S. Route 195
STEPTOE, Wash. — Strong winds knocked a FedEx truck into the ditch on U.S. Route 195 near Steptoe Friday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.
The highway was closed as crews worked to pull the truck out of the ditch. The first attempt with a tow truck was unsuccessful.
The National Weather Service says Friday’s wind speeds in Steptoe are around 23 miles per hour with gusts up to 33 miles per hour. The wind is expected to calm down by the evening.
