Wildfire in southwest Chelan 100% contained

CHELAN, Wash. — All evacuations have been lifted in relation to the Stayman Flats Fire.

Those living on Downie Canyon Road and Hawks Ridge Road were required to evacuate immediately when Level 3 Evacuations were in place.

The Stayman Flats Fire has burned nearly two square miles (or 1,200 acres) and is 100 percent contained. It’s burning roughly five miles southwest of Chelan.

It was later determined that the fire was caused by lightning.
