1 cabin, 3 outbuildings burned in Vantage Highway Fire

VANTAGE, Wash. — One cabin and three outbuildings have burned in the Vantage Highway Fire.

The fire began Monday and has burned a total of 46.9 square miles. It is 45 percent contained.

All evacuations have been lifted and power has been restored to the area. Crews are still working to replace damaged power poles along the highway.

Wildfire Evacuation Levels

I-90 and the Vantage Highway are both open.

Aircraft will continue supporting the fire with water and retardant along the northern boundary of the fire. Crews on the ground will employ a range of tactics, digging line and cold training.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
