Wildfire destroys structures, burns 2,100 acres near Quincy
QUINCY, Wash. — A fast-moving wildfire destroyed several structures in the Quincy area Wednesday morning.
Command confirms 5 structures have been lost. The sheriff’s office says none of those are homes and the structures were either outbuildings or were abandoned.
The fire is burning about 3.5 miles northeast of Quincy. So far, 2,100 acres have been scorched.
Early Wednesday morning, evacuation notices were sent out for dozens of residents living in the area, however those notices have since been lifted and people have been able to return to their homes.
The fire is 20-30% contained Wednesday morning.
There have been no casualties.
