Wildfire evacuation notices canceled in Grant County
SOAP LAKE, Wash. — All wildfire evacuation notices in Grant County have been canceled.
The wildfire in Soap Lake has been mostly contained, and the level 3 evacuation order is no longer in effect.
Nearly a half-square mile of the region was impacted by the wildfire.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office also reported that a Fire District 7 vehicle was involved in a rollover crash near Road 20 NE and Road B.5 NE. The two occupants sustained minor injuries and have been transported for treatment.
The vehicle was part of the response to the wildfire. The crash is currently under investigation.
Other wildfires in Quincy, western Moses Lake, and south of Ephrata are currently under control.
The Coulee Medical Center was evacuated due to a gas leak. Resources from Grant and Okanogan County relocated 25 patients to other hospitals.
