Wife funds spending spree through husband’s tickets
LaPUSH, Wash. — A western Washington woman funded her own spending spree through her husband’s illegal fishing.
Two Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife agents were floating the Sol Duc River on the Olympic Peninsula Wednesday when they came across a riverfront home where three fishing lines were in the water.
Agents say when the homeowner emerged from his garage, he readily admitted to being the owner of the fishing poles. It is illegal to fish with more than one rod and agents the terminal gear was illegal as well.
The department says the man’s wife told the agents to write her husband for everything they had, because he made a deal with her that if he got a ticket she could spend the same amount of money on something nice for herself.
He was cited for the violations.
Speculation on social media is that she turned him in, however there is no proof of that.
