What you should know to start your Thursday
SPOKANE, Wash. — Welcome to your Thursday! Today the clouds will roll in, which will make for a slightly warmer morning. We’re expecting to start the day off above freezing for the first time in a few days. This afternoon’s highs, though, will remain in the 50s.
Here’s what’s going on this morning:
The hug touching hearts across the country
There was an incredible moment in a Dallas courtroom yesterday, when a man asked if he could hug the woman who had just been convicted of murdering his brother. Former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger shot and killed Botham Jean in his own apartment. After she was found guilty of murder, Jean’s brother took the stand to say he didn’t want Guyger to go to prison, that he instead hoped she would turn to God, and that he forgave her. He then came down from the stand and embraced her.
Spooky season is here and Scarywood Haunted Nights are now back! The fright fest takes over Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho each October.
