What will it take for you to ditch the mask?
SPOKANE, Wash. — People who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear masks in most places.
While some are excited about the new guidelines, others aren’t ready for that next step.
This is the question we asked. If you’re fully vaccinated, what will it take for you to ditch your mask?
One of you said ‘I would only ditch the mask if more people are vaccinated. At least above 70 percent in Spokane.’ Another said when everybody is fully vaccinated and COVID-19 is no longer a threat.
Overall, the answers were similar, most of you aren’t ready to leave the mask behind just yet
“I don’t think the CDC should have told people to stop wearing masks. If they went through what I went through trust me, they would be wearing a mask at all times.”
“Until everybody is able to be vaccinated I don’t think it matters.”
“I find getting vaccinated and wearing a mask as a kind way to be towards my fellow humans. I don’t take it as a way of something of my rights or anything because I know how bad some family members have felt spreading COVID.”
“I’m definitely still wearing it if I’m not able to socially distance. If I am, then its more comfortable not to wear it because I have glasses and they fog up really easily.”
“Me and my husband are still wearing our masks and I don’t know when we’ll let them go.”
“I would feel definitely more comfortable if Spokane county and our local area including north Idaho had a closer to 70 percent vaccination rate. I know that for me, that would make me feel more comfortable.”
“85 percent. I know that’s probably high up there for a lot of people.”
“When the majority of the population is vaccinated, that’s when I would be okay ditching the mask.”
“Eventually you just have to take care of yourself and your family. That’s what I’m doing.”
It’s always eye opening to hear from all of you. We appreciate you sharing your answers.
