Wednesday’s Child: Caleb

The Museum of History and Industry in Seattle is a cool place to explore. 11-year-old Caleb and I particularly enjoyed the Maritime Exhibit, with all the controls and periscope.

Caleb likes contraptions and gizmos. Mostly taking them apart. He told me he took a microwave apart a long time ago.

Caleb says he likes school and that English is his favorite subject. He also enjoys riding his bike, playing with remote control cars, listening to music, and organizing things.

I would describe Caleb as kind and gentle. He says he’s brave, friendly, and funny.

Caleb told me he likes pie: Chicken pot pie and pie for dessert. He likes animals, and the thought of having pets. He said he’d consider keeping them in different rooms. Caleb would like his own room, in his own house, with his own family.

Caleb thinks other kids in the house would be okay, just as long as they are nice. The case worker for this sweet boy says Caleb needs a family that can provide consistent daily routines with lots of one-on-one time and attention.
