Weather will settle down this evening for a COLD night
Today was a shock to the system, to say the least. Our high temperature in Spokane dropped from 83° on Thursday to just 59° today! The gusty winds, blowing dust and scattered showers that accompanied today’s cold front will taper off later tonight. It’s going to be a COLD night. Expect frosty conditions Saturday morning, especially in the mountain valleys. There will be sunshine to start the day, but partly cloudy conditions will develop in the afternoon. Highs will top out in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
Mothers day should be mostly dry and cool, with only a chance of mountain showers in the late afternoon and early evening. The warm weather will return next workweek. A building ridge of high pressure will lead to a warming trend that takes our temperatures back into the 70s.
