WCC announces conference schedule for Gonzaga women’s basketball

SPOKANE, Wash. — The West Coast Conference has announced the schedule for the 2022-23 season.

Conference play is set to begin on Dec. 17 and will end on Feb. 25. Gonzaga has won 16 of the last 18 WCC titles, as well as nine of the last 14 WCC Tournament titles, winning the last two.

On the verge of a potential three-peat for the Zags, the Zags will open up league play against BYU and USF in The Kennel on Dec. 17 and Dec. 19. GU will then take a road trip to Southern California to face Pepperdine and LMU on Dec. 29 and 31.

After the start of the new year, the Zags will return home and play USF and Santa Clara on Jan. 5 and Jan. 7. After a short homestand, GU will have a three-game road trip, starting in Portland on Jan 14. The Zags will then head to Northern California to play Pacific on Jan. 19 and Saint Mary’s on Jan. 21.

To end the first month of the new year, the Zags will return home to play against LMU and Pepperdine on Jan. 26 and Jan. 28 respectively.

Starting the second half of the conference season, the Zags will go back to Northern California to play against Santa Clara on Feb. 2 and USF on Feb. 4.  To end their home schedule, GU will face Portland, Pacific and Saint Mary’s on Feb. 11, Feb. 16 and Feb. 18. Feb. 18 is Senior Day.

The Zags will end league play on the road against USD and BYU on Feb. 23 and Feb. 25 before the WCC Tournament in Las Vegas, which is scheduled for March 2-7.
