Washington’s first vaccine lottery drawing happening Tuesday

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washingtonians have their first chance to win a big chunk of change, but only if they are vaccinated against COVID-19.

Starting Tuesday, the Washington Lottery will draw someone from the state’s vaccine database to win $250,000.

The lottery will do this weekly before a final drawing of $1 million on July 13.

People who have been vaccinated have already been entered into the drawing. If you have not been vaccinated yet, you will be entered as soon as you go get your first shot.

The winner of Tuesday’s drawing will be contacted Wednesday.

The next drawing for $250,000 happens next Tuesday.
