Washington third least energy-expensive state, new study says
Washington is the third least energy-expensive state, according to a new study by personal finance website WalletHub.
The study compared the total monthly energy bills in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The analysis ranked states by monthly electricity cost, gas cost, motor-fuel cost, and heating-oil cost.
Wyoming topped the list, with a total energy cost of $372 per month. Washington came in at number 49, with a total energy cost of $253.
