LOS ANGELES — Washington State hit their first two threes of the game against USC. After that? 2-26.

WSU started out on an 8-nothing tear, but couldn’t sustain it. As a team, the Cougars shot 14% from beyond the arc as the Trojans ran away in the second half.

CJ Elleby scored 22 points to lead the Cougars. He was 7-of-18 from the floor and added 13 rebounds. No one else scored more than 10 for WSU, who falls to 5-8 in Pac-12 play, they’re currently in 10th place.

USC’s Daniel Utomi scored a career-high 23 points, including 5-of-10 from three-point range.

Washington State hosts Cal on Feb. 19th at 7 p.m.
