Washington State beats OSU 89-76 on Klay Thompson’s jersey retirement day
PULLMAN, Wash. — The same day that Cougar legend Klay Thompson’s jersey was retired in Beasley Colliseum, the current WSU team beat Oregon State 89-76 for a sweep of the Oregon schools.
Isaac Bonton scored a career high 34 points and eight rebounds as Washington State turned a three-point halftime lead into an eventual 13 point win.
CJ Elleby added 22 points, as the Cougs shot 51% from the field and 40% from 3-pt range.
The win over the Beavers comes on the heels of an upset over No. 8 Oregon on Thursday night, as new head coach Kyle Smith earned his third Pac-12 win.
