Washington state banks offer assistance to furloughed clients during shutdown
SEATTLE, Wash. — As the government shutdown enters day 26, many federal employees have been placed on furlough. However, some banks in Washington state are offering help for clients that haven’t seen a paycheck in weeks due to the shutdown.
Multiple banks have announced they are offering special rate short-term loans with low interest, while others are waiving fees and working with clients to help them manage their finances during the period without pay.
In a statement, the Washington Bankers Association released a list of banks who are offering help during the shutdown. They can be found below.

Bank of America
Cashmere Valley Bank
Sound Community Bank
