Washington state banks offer assistance to furloughed clients during shutdown

As the government shutdown enters day 26, many federal employees have been placed on furlough. However, some banks in Washington state are offering help for clients that haven’t seen a paycheck in weeks due to the shutdown.

Multiple banks have announced they are offering special rate short-term loans with low interest, while others are waiving fees and working with clients to help them manage their finances during the period without pay.

In a statement, the Washington Bankers Association released a list of banks who are offering help during the shutdown. They can be found below.
