Washington Healthplanfinder closes open enrollment with record sign-ups
OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington Health Benefit Exchange announced Tuesday that more than 242,000 customers signed up for Qualified Health Plans through Washington Healthplanfinder by the end of open enrollment on January 15. Sign-ups have shown an eight percent increase over the previous year.
“I am pleased that, despite federal efforts to sabotage healthcare, so many Washingtonians have signed up for coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder,” Gov. Jay Inslee said. “Washington Healthplanfinder is working well in our state and connecting individuals and families with the coverage and care they need.”
More than 66,000 residents have signed up for dental coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder.
The 12-week open enrollment period was shortened from 14 weeks last year.
