Walla Walla woman receives 22-year sentence for child pornography
SPOKANE, Wash. — Walla Walla resident Katrina Michelle Maradee Adams received a sentence of 22 years in federal prison on Monday for distribution and conspiracy to produce child pornography.
Adams, 27, pleaded guilty to the charges back in January 2019, as part of the trial of her boyfriend and co-conspirator Mikhail Yuriy Ageyev, who received a sentence of 50 years in prison for conspiracy to produce, production, and possession of child pornography last month.
Authorities first caught wind of the allegations against Ageyev through a series of CyberTips, reports filed to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), from Twitter and Microsoft regarding Ageyev’s internet activity.
Following the initial CyberTips, the Moses Lake Police Department executed search warrants that revealed Ageyev managed an internet alias where he traded child pornography images with others.
Additionally, subsequent search warrants discovered that Adams was involved in production of child pornography with Agayev, that involved a two-year-old child.
This case was pursued as part of Project Safe Childhood, a Department of Justice initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Upon completion of her 22-year sentence, Adams will be under lifetime court supervision.
