Vigils to honor slain Pullman woman tonight
PULLMAN, Wash. — Two separate vigils will be held tonight to remember former Pullman high school student Lauren McCluskey, murdered by an ex-boyfriend on the University of Utah campus Monday night.
The killer, 37-year-old Melvin Rowland, then shot himself to death.
McCluskey will be remembered tonight at a 6pm vigil at her former high school on the track field where she was a star athlete.
A second vigil will reportedly follow, according to Pullman high school officials, at 7pm at WSU, where both McCluskey’s parents are professors.
