Victim in N. Spokane drive-by shooting dies, juvenile arrested

SPOKANE, Wash. — The victim in a drive-by shooting near Northtown Mall has died from his injuries.

The suspect, only identified by police as juvenile, has been arrested. A release from the Spokane Police Department said Major Crimes has launched an investigation and is looking at other potential suspects.

The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. Thursday. Initial reports indicated two cars were involved and shots were fired from at least one of the cars.

Police believe those involved knew other each.
