Vice President Mike Pence in Spokane today

Vice President Mike Pence will visit Spokane today to campaign for Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers.

He and the Congresswoman were colleagues for nearly a decade in The U.S. House of Representatives. Pence will be the first Vice President to visit the Spokane area since 2006, when Dick Cheney visited Fairchild Air Force Base.

Pence will be at the Spokane Convention Center from about 2:30 p.m. to 5:00.

City of Spokane officials say drivers should expect restrictions on Spokane Falls Boulevard and Main while he’s in town.
