Vandals sign ten new players to football’s 2020 class

MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho football continued to reload ahead of 2020, adding another new crop of student-athletes.

Tarynce Antolin

Spokane, Wash. | Ferris HS

Antolin joins the Vandals after most recently playing for Ferris High School in Spokane.  There, Antolin earned 4A Greater Spokane League Defensive Most Valuable Player, helping lead his team to an overall record of 8-2.  Antolin is originally from Hawaii, where he began his high school career.

Nate Azzopardi

Pacifica, Calif. | Junipero Serra HS

OL | 6’3 | 275

Azzopardi helped lead Junipero Serra to the Central Coast Section Division I Championship with an overall record of 13-2.  Azzopardi earned First Team All-West Catholic Athletic League as a senior.

Mike Beaudry

Winter Park, Fla. | University of Connecticut

QB | 6’5 | 255

Beaudry joins the Vandals after spending one season at the University of Connecticut.  There, he appeared in five games, going 53-of-83 for 503 yards and one score.  Beaudry began his collegiate career at West Florida, helping start the program.  There, he led the team to the 2017 D2 National Championship game after going 10-4 on the year and earning Second Team All-America honors.

Jermaine Jackson

Oakland, Calif. | College of San Mateo

WR | 5’7 | 165

Jackson helped lead the College of San Mateo to the CCCAA Northern California Football Conference Championship, earning First Team All-State as a wide receiver and a returner.  He finished his sophomore campaign with 47 receptions for 622 yards and five touchdowns.

Dareon Nash

Covina, Calif. | Montana

DB | 6’1 | 185

Nash spent four seasons at the University of Montana, appearing in 36 games over the last three seasons.  Last season, Nash finished tied for sixth in the Big Sky with 13 passes defended.  He has five career interceptions.

Colbey Nosworthy

Hayden, Idaho | Coeur d’Alene HS

DB | 6’0 | 190

Nosworthy earned 5A Inland Empire League Most Valuable Player honors after leading Coeur d’Alene High to an overall record of 9-3 and a spot in the state championship game.  Nosworthy recorded eight interceptions as a senior, running three back for scores.  He also added 80 receptions for 1200 yards and 12 touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball.  Nosworthy earned All-State honors as both a defensive back and a wide receiver.

Noah Ormsby

McCall, Idaho | McCall-Donnelly HS

WR | 6’1 | 200

Ormsby had an exceptional senior season at McCall-Donnelly High.  He caught 44 passes for 1171 yards, and finished the year with 21 touchdowns.  Ormsby and McCall-Donnelly finished the season at 11-1 overall.

Landon Rehkow

Spokane Valley, Wash. | Central Valley HS

K/P | 6’0 | 160

Rehkow earned All-Greater Spokane League honors as a punter, and honorable mention honors as a kicker, while competing for Central Valley High.  The younger brother of Vandal legend, Austin Rehkow, Landon Rehkow will join the Vandals in 2022.

Elijah Sanchez

Palm Springs, Calif. | Palm Desert HS

OL | 6’5 | 290

Sanchez joins the Vandals after an impressive high school career with Palm Desert High.  There, he helped lead the team to an overall record of 11-1 as a senior, earning First Team All-Desert Sun honors.

Derek Tommasini

Eagle, Idaho | Eagle HS

LB | 6’1 | 232

Tommasini had a stellar senior campaign with Eagle High.  He recorded 80 tackles, including four sacks, to earn 5A Southern Idaho Conference Defensive Player of the Year.  Tommasini led the team to an overall record of 7-4.
