UPDATED: Inland NW Winter Outlook
El Nino promises warmer than average weather
Spokane — Winter is coming, but the bitter cold might take a break this season. An updated three-month forecast from NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center shows an even stronger inclination toward warmer than average conditions across the Inland Northwest for December, January and February. This is not a surprise, as El Nino is still expected to develop and dominate our weather pattern for the winter. Previous forecasts have leaned toward drier than average conditions in the Inland Northwest for the winter months, but this update released today keep things at an equal chance of above or below average precipitation.
