UPDATE: Two dead after semi vs. car crash on US 195 near Pullman
PULLMAN, Wash. — UPDATE:
The passenger of the car, 32-year-old Javier Torres-Rios, passed away from his injuries Sunday.
One person was killed and another was critically injured after a car and a semi-truck collided on U.S. Route 195 just south of Pullman.
28-year-old Fernando Reyes-Plascencia of Spokane Valley was killed when his car drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with a semi-truck. The accident occurred at milepost 15 on Highway 195 seven miles south of Pullman. His passenger, 32-year-old Javier Torres-Rios, was transported to a Spokane hospital via life flight helicopter for his injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck, 28-year-old Derek Cocking, was not hurt in the crash.
Both directions of Highway 195 were closed for several hours before reopening hours later Friday evening.
