UPDATE: Snoqualmie Pass eastbound lanes closed, westbound requires chains
SPOKANE, Wash. — UPDATE: Eastbound and westbound I-90 is now back open at Snoqulamie Pass. Chains are required on all vehicles except all-wheel drive 4WD.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Washington Department of Transportation is warning Friday drivers about conditions on Snoqualmie Pass.
Officials say drivers should expect expect winter conditions and be prepared for possible delays.
Drivers are urged to Slow down, follow traction requirements and give road workers space to work.
As of 7:15 a.m., traction tires are advised on Snoqualmie and White passes, and on Stevens Pass traction tires are required, with chains required on vehicles over 10K gross vehicle weight.
