SPOKANE, Wash. — Grab your boots and your shovels because snow is on the way for the Inland Northwest on Friday.

The National Weather Service in Spokane is predicting up to 11 inches of snow in Coeur d’Alene between 4 a.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday. Spokane is expected to get 8 inches of snow during that time. The NWS said this storm will be much colder compared to the past several ones.

That’s just for Friday. Even more snow is expected across the region on Saturday.

Early estimates put snowfall totals anywhere from 6″ to 12″ by Saturday afternoon.  That’s just part of the winter weather on the way.  Sharply colder conditions take over for next week, with highs in the teens and lows in the single digits.
