Umatilla County crash leaves 11 injured, 2 in critical
UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore. — Eleven people were injured and at least two are in critical condition after a rollover crash in Umatilla County.
On Thursday afternoon, a van was taking the onramp from I-82 to I-84 westbound when it rolled.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 1 p.m. They said the people in the van were the only ones injured.
Five or six people had to be cut out of the van with heavy machinery, according to Umatilla County Fire District #1.
Two of the passengers were airlifted from the scene via LifeFlight. They are in critical condition.
Two others were transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland and the rest were taken to Good Shepherd in Hermiston.
No word yet on the cause of the crash.
