Two people in hospital after being assaulted and robbed in their home
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — On Thursday morning at around 6:45 a.m., Spokane Valley Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported robbery at a residence located in the 10900 block of E. 17th Ave. in Spokane Valley.
Deputies were told the victims, an adult male and adult female, heard a knock on their front door. Around 20 minutes later, someone came to the front door again.
When they answered the door, up to four suspects wearing masks and hoodies assaulted them. The two people were then tied up by the suspects.
The suspects ransacked the house and stole several items before leaving. The victim’s Toyota Camry is also believed to have been stolen by the suspects.
Both victims were transported to the hospital for additional treatment for head and body injuries sustained in the attack.
From statements made by the victims, investigators believe the victims are known to the suspects and this was not a random act of violence.
