Trooper shot in Walla Walla, suspect arrested

WALLA WALLA, Wash. — A state trooper who was rammed by a car and shot on Thursday is now in stable condition, according to Washington State Patrol.

WSP District 3 Public Information Officer Chris Thorson says the incident occurred at 5:20 p.m.

The trooper was able to drive himself to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect has been arrested and is in custody.
