Tracking app follows fluctuating gas prices
SPOKANE, Wash. — Tech company GasBuddy ranks Washington State as the fourth most expensive for retail fuel prices.
Idaho and Oregon both fall into the top ten slots.
GasBuddy tracks real-time gas prices throughout the United States and Canada, comparing average prices from years, even weeks, past as well as gas station prices within a metropolitan area.
According to GasBuddy’s maps, the national average price of gas is up roughly 36 cents from last year’s average, at $2.782 per gallon. Spokane’s average is up about 23 cents at $3.009, and Coeur d’Alene’s is up about ten cents at $2.599.
