Toys R Us closes stores throughout country, locally
SPOKANE, Wash. — After making some “tough decisions,” Toys R Us will be closing stores throughout the entire country.
182 stores in 41 states will be closed as part of the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization plan.
Although we may seem safe from these country-wide closures, they will, unfortunately, affect people locally.
North Spokane will see the closure of the Babies R Us store on Division Street near Francis.
Washington state will also see closures in Silverdale and Everett.
As of right now, no closures are scheduled in Idaho.
“Going-out-of-business” sales are scheduled to begin in February and be completed by April.
