Happy Monday! Welcome to the first official day of fall. Today’s weather will certainly match the new season, with temperatures in the mid-60s and more wet weather expected for later in the week.

Here’s what you may have missed this weekend:

Sorry, we’re full

That’s what Walmart said this weekend when the superstore chain abruptly ended its car seat trade-in program. Since Sept. 16, Walmart stores around the country were accepting old car seats in exchange for a $30 Walmart gift card. The program was supposed to last through the end of the month, but the company said it was forced to end it early due to ‘overwhelming’ participation. Walmart estimates nearly one million car seats were collected (and will now be recycled).

Stranded on vacation

That’s the situation thousands of Brits are finding themselves in right now. UK travel company Thomas Cook has folded because it could not secure emergency funding, leaving roughly 150,000 vacationers stranded abroad. The British government will now work to bring them home, but officials warn delays are inevitable. Thomas Cook has been in operation for 178 years, it’s believed to be one of the world’s oldest travel companies. Due to the collapse, its four airlines will be grounded and 21,000 employees in 16 countries will lose their jobs.
