Thomas Merle “Todd” Hust (50) resident of Fernwood, ID passed away at his home on May 7, 2022. He was born the youngest of 10 children to Nicholas and Merlene (Williams) Hust on December 7, 1971, in Ontario, OR. Todd grew up in SW Idaho where his father’s employment took the family. Todd left home as a young man to go to work rock crushing in Weiser. In his early 20’s, he went to work in the logging industry as a hooker and choker setter. On August 23, 1996, Todd married Roberta Fry in Wenatchee, WA. The couple made their home in Payette, ID where Todd went to work as a long-haul truck driver for TWT Trucking. Over the years he drove for several companies before forming his own company – Tom Tom Transport LLC. Todd contracted with Arlo G. Lott Trucking and hauled for them. Todd and Roberta moved to Fernwood in November of 2021 and purchased property on Crystal Peak to build their dream home. An avid outdoorsman and one who liked living off the grid, the area was perfect for him. He loved being on the mountain, 4 wheeling, camping, boating, fishing, and watching NASCAR and PBR Rodeo. Family and friend gatherings were something Todd looked forward to, and he equally enjoyed making his family and friends laugh with his inappropriate joke telling and his silly sense of humor that he acquired from his mother. Todd is survived by his wife Roberta at their home in Fernwood; children Jacob Myers of Weiser, ID, Paige (Matthew) Coats of Burley, ID, Bradley (Celesta) White of Texas, and James Sweat of Fernwood, ID; siblings Kathie (Brian) Sines of Weiser, ID, Deb Winn of Kuna, ID, Pattie (Rick) Peterson of South Dakota, Terrie (Bill) Seid of Kuna, ID, Rick (Crystal) Reynolds Fruitland, ID, Ken (Carrie) Hust of Fruitland, ID, Tammie (Guy) Williams of Ohio, Mike (Sherry) Baird of Wisconsin, and Shelley (RL) Kahler of Boise, ID; 18 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. A private service will be held with family, and a public memorial service will be held at a later date in Payette Valley.
