Three people associated with burglaries arrested by Coeur d’Alene Police

Three people responsible for multiple burglaries in Coeur d’Alene were arrested by CDA Police on Wednesday and Thursday.

Police were first tipped off to the burglars on Tuesday when they responded to a burglary in progress at a house in the 400 block of N. Military Dr. in the Fort Grounds neighborhood. A neighbor, knowing the homeowners were out of town, saw three people taking items from inside the residence. The neighbor confronted the suspects who immediately fled the area, but not before the neighbor got the license plate number of the car they were driving. Officers were unable to locate them that night.

On Wednesday, police detectives identified all three burglary suspects and arrested two of them. Trina R. McNeil was arrested at her residence in Rathdrum and Teresa M. Richardson was arrested in Coeur d’Alene. Both were booked into the Kootenai County Jail. The third suspect, Thomas W. Gray, was not located but detectives obtained an arrest warrant for him, charging him with one count of burglary and one count of criminal conspiracy.

On Thursday morning at around 9:20 a.m., the police department received information Gray was burglarizing a home in the 400 block on N. Park Dr., also in the Fort Grounds neighborhood. Officers arrived on scene and believed Gray had barricaded himself inside the home. SWAT officers were called to take Gray into custody, but he was not located during a search of the home. However, as officers were leaving, a citizen became aware Gray was hiding at a nearby residence and alerted police. He was taken into custody a short time later.
