Texas Roadhouse training new Spokane staff, donating food to local first responders
SPOKANE, Wash. – Staff at the new North Spokane Texas Roadhouse are busy getting ready for their grand opening.
The popular steakhouse will open its first Spokane location on January 20.
Service Manager Stephanie Mallory said the new staff is currently going through training getting ready for the big day. Cooks have been learning to perfectly prepare hand-cut steaks, ribs and loaded baked potatoes. But do not worry, that food is not going to waste.
Texas Roadhouse has been donating food to local fire and police departments.
The Spokane Police Department was been a lucky recipient. According to a post on Facebook, the dispatch and SRECS employees were treated to steak, ribs, salad, potatoes and the famous rolls.
On Friday, the wait staff will get to practice when their families and friends dine at the restaurant for a special event.
The public will get to enjoy the restaurant at its grand opening on Monday, beginning at 4 p.m. The new location is located at 7611 N. Division St. near the former Costco building.
