Cougs crack AP Poll Top 10

With a win over Stanford Saturday evening, the Washington State University Cougars have earned a Number 10 spot on the AP Top 25 Poll. The Cougar football team moved up four spots this week. They now sit in between Number 9 UCF and Number 11 Kentucky.

Members of the Washington State community gathered on campus Wednesday to mourn the loss of 21-year-old Tyler Hilinski, a quarterback on the Cougars football team who took his own life Tuesday.

Luke Falk threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns, Erik Powell kicked a 32-yard field goal with 1:40 left and No. 16 Washington State beat No. 5 Southern California 30-27 on Friday night.

Cougars extend Mike Leach through 2020 season

Washington State University Director of Athletics Bill Moos announced Tuesday that he and Head Coach Mike Leach have agreed to a provision in Leach's contract to extend the agreement an additional year through the 2020 season.
