REPORT: Big Sky canceling football in the fall

Following a meeting with school Athletic Directors and Presidents, reports are saying the Big Sky Conference is calling off football this fall.  The decision comes just a day after the NCAA put a deadline on divisions to make a decision on the future of championships being played in the fall.

No baseball, no problem, Spokane Indians open up Infield Cafe

The Minor League baseball season was officially called off Tuesday afternoon, but there's still a way to enjoy the award winning Avista Stadium at least for a few more days.  The Spokane Indians are welcoming fans to come eat lunch on the infield at the Infield Cafe.

Gonzaga vs. Texas Tech rematch is official

Gonzaga and Texas Tech will square off in the third annual Jerry Colangelo Classic in Phoenix, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Wednesday. The college basketball showcase will be hosted at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Dec. 19.

WIAA releases plan to return to high school sports in the fall

At its June 7 meeting, the WIAA Executive Board was asked to set philosophical guidelines regarding the anticipated re-opening of schools and activities for the 2020-21 school year. This was done by answering four questions formulated by the National Federation of High Schools. The answers to these questions, which are listed below, will provide the framework for future planning of the Executive Board, WIAA Staff and member schools.

Spokane's Beckman named WHL Player of the Year

The Spokane Chiefs are proud to announce that forward Adam Beckman has earned the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy as the Western Hockey League's Player of the Year for the 2019-20 season.
