Vandals Roll to Homecoming Victory

Mason Petrino and Cutrell Haywood hooked up for three touchdowns Saturday, to lead Idaho past Southern Utah 31-12 on Homecoming at the Kibbie Dome. The Vandals (3-4, 2-3 Big Sky) led 31-0 after three quarters and went on to their largest margin of victory in a conference game since 2016.

Whitworth Handles Puget Sound 47-13

 Leif Ericksen threw three touchdown passes and Mason Elms ran for two touchdowns as visiting Whitworth methodically rolled past Puget Sound 47-13 in a Northwest Conference football game on Saturday at Baker Stadium.

Bobcats Edge Vandals

 David Ungerer scored a touchdown with 3:07 remaining, but the game-tying extra point attempt missed and Montana State held on to beat Idaho 24-23, Saturday at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman, Mont. The Vandals (2-4, 1-3 Big Sky) had the ball for more than 37 minutes and outgained the Bobcats (4-2, 2-1 Big Sky) 347-318, but two big plays helped Montana State score 17 points in the second half.

Whitworth defense Wraps Up 'Cats in 19-14 Win

Whitworth University used an explosive third quarter and a strong defensive effort to knock off 11th-ranked Linfield College in the Northwest Conference football opener for both schools on Saturday afternoon at Puryear Field in the Whitworth Pine Bowl.

Tinsley, Sweet Lead Crimson to Victory Over Gray

Quarterback Trey Tinsley threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns while Kyle Sweet had game-highs of eight catches for 138 yards to led the Crimson team to a 34-24 victory over the Gray squad in the annual Crimson and Gray Game Saturday afternoon in front of 5,927 fans at Joe Albi Stadium.
