Idaho women's hoops fall at No. 7 Stanford

Freshman Gina Marxen paced all scorers with a 22-point outing as the No. 7 Stanford women's basketball team defeated Idaho, 115-71, on Sunday afternoon at Maples Pavilion in California.

Montana Keeps Little Brown Stein

Montana retained the Little Brown Stein with a 46-27 win over Idaho Saturday, at the Kibbie Dome, handing the Vandals (4-6, 3-5 Big Sky) their only home loss of the season. The game was played in front of 14,571 fans – Idaho's largest home attendance in more than four years (Oct. 18, 2014).

Late Touchdown Lifts Vandals to Victory

Mason Petrino found Jeff Cotton in the corner of the end zone for the go-ahead touchdown with 27 seconds to play, lifting Idaho to a 31-27 win over North Dakota Saturday, at the Kibbie Dome. The Vandals (4-5, 3-4 Big Sky) scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, including a blocked punt returned for a touchdown.

Vandals Roll to Homecoming Victory

Mason Petrino and Cutrell Haywood hooked up for three touchdowns Saturday, to lead Idaho past Southern Utah 31-12 on Homecoming at the Kibbie Dome. The Vandals (3-4, 2-3 Big Sky) led 31-0 after three quarters and went on to their largest margin of victory in a conference game since 2016.

Bobcats Edge Vandals

 David Ungerer scored a touchdown with 3:07 remaining, but the game-tying extra point attempt missed and Montana State held on to beat Idaho 24-23, Saturday at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman, Mont. The Vandals (2-4, 1-3 Big Sky) had the ball for more than 37 minutes and outgained the Bobcats (4-2, 2-1 Big Sky) 347-318, but two big plays helped Montana State score 17 points in the second half.

Vandals fall on the road

 Idaho football suffered a 62-28 loss to Idaho State Saturday, at Holt Arena in Pocatello. The Vandals (2-3, 1-2 Big Sky) scored first, but the Bengals (4-1, 3-0 Big Sky) rattled off 28 unanswered points before taking a 35-14 lead into halftime.

Vandals Earn First Big Sky Win

Idaho football earned a 20-7 win over Portland State Saturday, at the Kibbie Dome to give the Vandals (2-2, 1-1 Big Sky) their first Big Sky victory. Idaho seized control in the first half, taking a 20-0 lead after two quarters.

Vandals Drop Conference Opener at UC Davis

Idaho football suffered a 44-21 loss at UC Davis, Saturday in the Vandals’ first Big Sky Conference game since 1995. The Aggies (3-1, 1-0 Big Sky) totaled 512 yards of offense, split evenly between 256 rushing yards and 256 passing yards.

Vandals Drop Opener at Fresno State

Idaho football lost 79-13 Saturday, at Fresno State in the 2018 season opener for both teams. The Bulldogs returned two blocked field goals and one interception for touchdowns in the first half, on their way to a 44-6 lead at the break.

Idaho Falls in Championship

A hot-shooting Northern Colorado Bears squad was too much to overcome on Saturday in the Big Sky Championship game, with Idaho falling, 91-69.  The Vandals have already earned an automatic bid to the 2018 WNIT, and will find out their destination and opponent on Monday.

Vandals Defeat Bobcats

 It was a wire-to-wire victory for the Vandals on Wednesday night in Reno, as Idaho took down Montana State, 78-74, to advance to Friday's semifinal.  The Vandals will next take on the winner of Eastern Washington and Portland State, tipping off later tonight.  The semifinal matchup will tip off at 2:35 p.m.

Vandals Win on Senior Night

 Brayon Blake came up huge for the Vandals yet again, getting the game-winning jumper to fall with one second to play as Idaho took down Southern Utah on senior night, 78-76.

Vandals Wrap up No. 2 Seed

Idaho women's basketball wrapped up the Big Sky regular season with a 65-57 win over Southern Utah on Friday. The Vandals finish the conference season with a 13-5 record, securing the No. 2 seed in next week's Big Sky Tournament. 

Vandals Earn #2 Seed

A huge second half rally helped lift Idaho to the 66-52 win over Northern Arizona on Thursday night in the Cowan Spectrum.  With the win, Idaho locks up the #2 seed in the upcoming Big Sky Tournament in Reno, and will get things started at 5:35 p.m. on Thursday night.

Vandals Fall on Senior Day

The Idaho Vandals and Weber State Wildcats played a grind-it-out battle inside Memorial Gym on Saturday. Both teams got to the free-throw line in abundance, but it was the hot shooting of Weber State that downed the Vandals, 105-88, on Senior Day.

Vandals Drop Top-Seeded Griz in OT

 Forty minutes weren't enough on Saturday night as Idaho met top-seeded Montana in the Cowan Spectrum.  The Vandals needed every second of overtime, too, with Nate Sherwood coming up clutch with the game-winning tip-in at the buzzer, to give Idaho the 79-77 win.

Vandals Prevail in Montana

Idaho women's basketball continued to roll, winning its ninth consecutive game on Saturday. The Vandals bested Montana 67-56 in front of 3,353 loyal Griz fans inside Dahlberg Arena.  

Vandals Zap the Hornets, 101-66

The Vandal women led wire-to-wire Saturday afternoon, avenging their earlier loss to the Sacramento State Hornets. Idaho picked up its sixth straight win, sending the Hornets packing 101-66. 

Vandals Dominate on the Road

The men got it done on the road on Saturday night, topping Sacramento State 81-58.  Idaho led for 39:23 of the game.
