Vandals Earn #2 Seed

A huge second half rally helped lift Idaho to the 66-52 win over Northern Arizona on Thursday night in the Cowan Spectrum.  With the win, Idaho locks up the #2 seed in the upcoming Big Sky Tournament in Reno, and will get things started at 5:35 p.m. on Thursday night.

Vandals Fall on Senior Day

The Idaho Vandals and Weber State Wildcats played a grind-it-out battle inside Memorial Gym on Saturday. Both teams got to the free-throw line in abundance, but it was the hot shooting of Weber State that downed the Vandals, 105-88, on Senior Day.

Vandals Drop Top-Seeded Griz in OT

 Forty minutes weren't enough on Saturday night as Idaho met top-seeded Montana in the Cowan Spectrum.  The Vandals needed every second of overtime, too, with Nate Sherwood coming up clutch with the game-winning tip-in at the buzzer, to give Idaho the 79-77 win.

Vandals Prevail in Montana

Idaho women's basketball continued to roll, winning its ninth consecutive game on Saturday. The Vandals bested Montana 67-56 in front of 3,353 loyal Griz fans inside Dahlberg Arena.  

Vandals Zap the Hornets, 101-66

The Vandal women led wire-to-wire Saturday afternoon, avenging their earlier loss to the Sacramento State Hornets. Idaho picked up its sixth straight win, sending the Hornets packing 101-66. 

Vandals Dominate on the Road

The men got it done on the road on Saturday night, topping Sacramento State 81-58.  Idaho led for 39:23 of the game.

Vandals Reign Supreme Over NAU

The Splash Sisters brought the rain Saturday, leading the Vandals with 54 combined points in Idaho's 83-68 win over Northern Arizona. 

Vandals Drop Heartbreaker

A last-second tip-in did in the Vandals on Saturday night as Idaho fell to Portland State, 73-72, in the Cowan Spectrum.

Ferenz & Co. Lead the Way at Portland State

The Vandal women's basketball team went into the Pamplin Sports Center and ended Portland State's five-game winning streak on Saturday. Idaho hit the 100-point mark for the first time since 2016, closing the road trip with a 101-90 win.

Turnovers Prove Costly for Vandals

Idaho had four players score in double-figures, but Vandal turnovers proved costly on Saturday. Senior Geraldine McCorkell scored a team-high 20 points, but it was Northern Colorado who got the upper hand, 78-72.

Vandals Stumble Against Anteaters

Idaho closed out the non-conference portion of the schedule on Thursday night, falling to UC Irvine, 67-59, at CenturyLink Arena in the Vandal Holiday Hoops Classic presented by Delta Dental.

Vandals Cruise in Boise

The Vandal women closed out the non-conference season with an exclamation mark in front of a packed crowd at CenturyLink Arena. Junior Taylor Pierce led the way with a career-high 29 points, despite battling a cold. Fellow Splash Sister, Mikayla Ferenz finished the night with 21 points, as the Vandals scored a convincing 84-70 win over Eastern Oregon.

Vandals Unable to Hold On

Junior Mikayla Ferenz scored a season-high 30 points but the Vandals could not hold off Wyoming on Saturday. Idaho played Wyoming tight all the way to the final buzzer, but the Cowgirls were able to hang on 70-64. 

10 Vandals Named All-League

Idaho football picked up 10 Sun Belt all-conference awards Wednesday, including three first-team selections, three second-team honors and four honorable mention nods. It is the first time three Vandals were named first-team all-league in the same season since 2008 (Western Athletic Conference).

Vandals Close Season With 24-10 Win

Idaho’s defense created four takeaways and the offense had its most prolific outing in more than a month as the Vandals closed the season with a 24-10 win Saturday, at Georgia State. Idaho (4-8, 3-5 Sun Belt) shutout the Panthers (6-5, 5-3 Sun Belt) in the second half, allowing GSU to gain just 132 yards of total offense after intermission.

Vandals Come Up Short

Idaho found the end zone on the game’s opening drive, but Coastal Carolina accounted for the rest of the scoring as the Vandals (3-7, 2-4 Sun Belt) suffered a 13-7 defeat in their home finale Saturday, at the Kibbie Dome.
