According to the Washington DNR, there are nearly 1,500 firefighters working to control 18 active wildfires burning in Washington on more than 21,000 acres. 

Eagles Top Sacramento State on the Road

The Eastern Washington University women's basketball team shot a season-high 49.2 percent from the field and had four in double-figures as they topped Sacramento State by a final score of 83-72 on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 6). The win moves them to 7-9 on the season with a 2-2 mark in Big Sky Conference play.

Salanoa leaves EWU

Eastern Washington University offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Fred Salanoa submitted his resignation this week and will return to Hawaii to be near his family, Eastern first-year head coach Aaron Best announced Wednesday (June 6).

Eagles knock off Vandals, advance in Big Sky Tournament

No. 4 seed Eastern Washington knocked off No. 5 seed Idaho, 73-64, on Wednesday (March 8) to advance to the Big Sky Tournament Semifinals on Friday. The Eagles were paced by a 23-point performance from junior Delaney Hodgins in a game they never trailed in.
