Many of us have family members or know someone who has served or is serving in the military. The Army wanted to hear from service members about their time in the armed forces, so they tweeted this question: "How has service impacted you?" Instead of an overwhelmingly positive response, vets discussed issues with PTSD, sexual assault and suicide.

A Coast Guard aircrew medically evacuated a 61-year-old male reportedly suffering from a heart attack while at the Peace Island Medical Center near Friday Harbor, Sunday morning. 

Coast Guard urges owners to label their paddlecraft

In the month of July, search and rescue crews responded to an average of one unmanned-adrift paddlecraft in the Puget Sound region every day. Now the Coast Guard is asking all owners of kayaks, canoes and other paddlecraft to label their vessel with essential contact information.
