SVPD needs your help identifying an assaultive robbery suspect

Spokane Valley Police Department is attempting to identify a female robbery suspect last seen at the Home Depot on Sprague in Spokane Valley.

On February 7, around 1:30 p.m., an asset protection employee of Home Depot, located at 5617 E. Sprague, reported a theft suspect became assaultive when she was approached.

The employee told the responding Spokane Valley Deputy he observed the suspect place retail items in her purse before she attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. When the employee contacted her and identified himself, she punched him in the face before running out of the store into the passenger’s side of the pictured van.

SVPD needs your help identifying an assaultive robbery suspect

The woman is believed to have been a passenger in the pictured van. Investigators have determined the car’s registered owner and are working to contact him.

The store employee did not need medical attention for minor injuries.
